Most kapsalon doner orders were ordered in the Netherlands in 2022

In the report of Thuisbezorgd, the largest online food ordering platform in the Netherlands, for the year 2022, it was stated that the most ordered food from the internet is “kapsalon doner”, a Turkish invention.

For the dough:

500 g flour
250 g softened margarine/butter
2 tablespoons of warm milk
150 g sugar
50 g yeast
1 egg

For Syrup:

500 gr ‘stroop’ (a different type of molasses)
75 g margarine/butter
300 g brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe:

Pour all the dough ingredients into a mixing bowl and knead. Then we rest the dough we kneaded for 45 minutes. On the other hand, we put the molasses in a saucepan for the syrup and bring it to a boil. After boiling, pour the other ingredients into it and mix well. We knead the rested dough again and form it into small balls. After putting it in the tos or waffle maker, we press it lightly. Then, after the color darkens, we take it out of the machine. While it is hot, we spread it from the syrup that we have prepared.
