The Netherlands is preparing to meet the health personnel shortage, which has become more evident with the Covid epidemic and is expected to increase further in the coming years, from countries outside the European Union (EU).

According to a report submitted to the government two weeks ago, there is a shortage of 49 thousand health workers this year.
This number is expected to rise to 135 thousand in 10 years. Hospitals and aged care homes are struggling to find staff.
According to Dutch officials, one of the most important reasons for the staff shortage is the increase in the elderly population. The number of people aged 80 and over in the country is around 800,000. In 30 years, this number is expected to reach 2.6 million.

ENGLISH-SPEAKING STAFF ARE ALSO NEEDED

Ben Polak, Zuyderland Hospital Personnel Manager, says they need 400 nurses in the next 4 years and they are not looking for them in Europe.
The hospital is in talks with Otto Workforce, one of the largest recruitment offices in the Netherlands, for the procurement of personnel from outside the EU.
The employment agency will launch Dutch courses in the capital Manila this month to recruit 200 ICU nurses from the Philippines.
Nurses will also be informed about the Dutch health system for 3 months.
Yomema, an employment agency, was able to bring 64 nursing students from Indonesia to the Netherlands after 2 years of official effort.
Nursing students who have been studying in the Netherlands since November are also allowed to work part-time for 16 hours a week.
The employment agency plans to bring 1,200 students to the Netherlands every year under these conditions.
FACILITATING STEPS REQUESTED
The health sector expects the government to take steps to facilitate the arrival of health personnel from outside the EU.
The Dutch Association of Nurses (V&VN) argues that no concessions should be made for those coming from outside the EU regarding the mastery of Dutch and the quality of healthcare professionals.

What is the average income in the Netherlands?

How are the salaries in the Netherlands?
Salary is a very personal matter. The salary of two people working in the same profession and having the same experience does not have to be the same. 2- CV Preparation / The Road to a Great CV
It would be delusional to try to look for a job without a suitable CV. If we take into account that a recruiter looks at a CV for about 15-20 seconds, I think we will emphasize once again how important it is.
We would like to share with you a few points that work for us and that we truly believe to be correct.
– Never give a place to lies in your CV. You will be embarrassed and you may not get the job.
– Be as clear as possible, but your CV should not exceed 2 pages. This is one of the tips we believe is most beneficial. Nobody cares what primary school you go to.
– If your internships are remarkable, add them.
– Avoid abbreviations that only you know. Many companies use too many abbreviations and only those who work in that company know them. Be sure to avoid these abbreviations. Use only internationally recognized abbreviations.
– Consider that you will choose CV preparation based on the position. For some positions, it may be useful to bring certain characteristics and experiences to the fore. We’ve done this a lot, too.
– Don’t make a typo. First impression is very important. Someone who makes a typo gives the impression of being careless to the CV reviewer.
– There is no photo requirement for CVs in Europe. That’s why we didn’t add it. Keep in mind.
– It must be up to date. Add the trainings you just went to.
– If you are not dealing with jobs such as advertising, graphic design, we say avoid very fancy CV types.
